AMSCL follows a regulatory and quality assurance framework related to supply of drugs. Some of the essential ingredients of such a framework include, inter-alia, the following:
- Bidder shall possess valid Drug License/Manufacturing License issued by the concerned Drug Control Authority or licensing authority.
- The manufacturing facility shall comply with provisions of WHO GMP or COPP.
- The manufacturer shall have two years market standing for products offered for supply
- Supplies shall be accompanied by batch-wise test analysis report from a NABL certified laboratory and notarized copy of NABL accreditation of that particular batch need to be submitted. Further testing will be done, if deemed necessary, at Govt. Drugs Testing Laboratory or any other NABL certified facility.
- Drug Control Authority of the state engaged Inspector of Drugs who are responsible for regular sampling of the supplied drugs and sent those confidential samples for analytical testing in empanel NABL Govt. Labs either in Assam or some time out of the state.
